Nikolaos Kyriazis is an elected Assistant Professor (pending Government Gazette) at the Department of Accounting and Finance of the University of Thessaly.

He has also worked for a number of years as a lecturer at the Department of Economics (DOE) of the University of Thessaly, from where he received his undergraduate degree, his doctorate and postdoctoral degree, while he is a graduate of the Department of Economics of the Athens University of Economics and Business (A.U.E.B.). His PhD thesis concerns the unconventional monetary policy implemented by central banks, with a special emphasis on Quantitative Easing. His postdoctoral thesis focuses on investigating the determinants of returns and volatility in investment portfolios composed of cryptocurrencies. He specializes in macroeconomics-financial and monetary phenomena and is an author and co-author in scientific journals of high academic recognition such as: Energy Economics, International Review of Financial Analysis, Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance, North American Journal of Economics and Finance, Journal of Economic Studies, Research in International Business and Finance, etc.
